Rule changes we track
- Florida (Feb 6, 2026): knowledge and driving-skills exams are administered exclusively in English; ASL may be provided as an accommodation.
- Florida (Aug 1, 2025): applicants under 18 must complete an approved Driver Education Traffic Safety (DETS) course; TLSAE applies to first-time applicants 18 and older.
- Florida (July 1, 2025): the hybrid/low-emission HOV decal program was repealed — HOV lanes follow posted occupancy and toll requirements.
Correction log
- Full review of all 300 questions against the FL Driver License Handbook (rev. 08/2023) and FLHSMV's official 84-topic exam study guide: 9 questions corrected, 3 untraceable questions replaced with officially-tested topics, 1 rewritten to match handbook guidance.
- Updated for current law: the under-18 DETS course requirement (effective Aug 1, 2025), the HOV decal program repeal (July 1, 2025), and English-only exam administration (effective Feb 6, 2026).
- Full review of all 301 questions against the California Driver's Handbook (© 2025 DMV): 4 questions corrected — double-yellow crossing exceptions, dedicated right-turn lane wording, the blind-intersection definition, and the cargo-overhang threshold.
- Full review of all 300 questions against the MA Driver's Manual (Revised April 2026): 4 questions corrected per review, 1 question removed as untraceable to the current manual.
