The examiner inspects your vehicle and paperwork first. Any of these gets the vehicle rejected before you drive a foot:
- !No valid license plate or proof of liability insurance
- !The vehicle fails the pre-test safety check
- !A rental vehicle whose contract doesn't authorize a road test
- !Unsafe weather — DDS won't run the test in it
- !No appointment: Georgia road tests are appointment-only
⚠️ You may be disqualified during the test for…
- ✗Striking the boundaries in the parking or backing exercises — the errors the score sheet punishes hardest
- ✗Any traffic violation on the route is scored against you — a serious one ends the test
- ✗Georgia publishes no official instant-fail list — assume everything is graded; the examiner shows you the score sheet afterward
- ✗The $10 test fee isn't refunded on a failure — and the retake ladder is next-day after the first, seven days after the second
